Our story

Three brothers. Dad's bakkie. A whole lot of heart.

We're Luke, Jack and Mark — three brothers from Somerset West who decided that screen time and pocket money could wait. Instead, we wanted to learn how a real business actually works: knocking on doors, talking to customers, lifting things, fixing things, selling things, and being accountable when we say we'll show up.

Along the way, we're raising money for local charities, helping fund our school sports tours, and putting a little aside for when we're older. Three goals, one trailer-load at a time.

Why we do it

Every Helderberg home has things nobody uses but nobody quite knows what to do with. By collecting it, sorting it, fixing it and selling it, we turn those forgotten items into something genuinely useful — money for local charities, and a head start on the goals we've set ourselves as brothers.

Most of all, we're learning the lessons that don't come from a classroom: how to be reliable, how to handle a "no", how to do a job properly even when it's tough. Every booking you give us is part of that education.

Learning about business

Marketing, sales, repairs, customer service — the kind of skills you can't be taught at a desk.

Giving back to our community

A meaningful share of every collection goes to charities right here in the Helderberg.

Managing money

Tracking every rand in and out, working out our margins and learning how to make the numbers add up.

Saving for the future

Putting a little aside for studies, first cars and the things that matter when we're older.

Funding school tours

Helping fund the trips, kit and entry fees that make playing for our schools possible.

Teamwork & responsibility

Three brothers, one trailer — showing up on time and pulling our weight for each other and our customers.

Learning by doing

Building a real business, from the ground up

We're not playing shop. We're learning every part of what it actually takes to start, run and grow a real business — the same way the grown-ups do it. Some lessons we get right first time. Others teach us the hard way. All of them are shaping the entrepreneurs we'll one day become.

Business planning

Setting goals, pricing our work, and learning when to say yes — and when a polite no is the right answer.

Marketing

Flyers, social posts, word-of-mouth and a website we built ourselves — figuring out what actually makes the phone ring.

Logistics

Planning routes, booking time slots, loading the trailer properly, and showing up exactly when we promised.

Finance & taxes

Tracking every rand in and out, working out our margins, and yes — even getting our heads around how tax works.

Customer service

Handling a happy yes, a polite no and the occasional tough conversation — with a smile and a handshake.

Growing the business

Dreaming up new services — repairs, e-waste, sell-and-split — and figuring out how to do each one really well.

Every booking you give us is a real-world classroom — and you're the teacher.

Learning with AI

Our crash course in building with AI

Running this business is teaching us things school doesn't — and AI is our secret weapon. We're learning how to prompt properly, how to "vibe code" real software, and how to use AI to market what we do. We even built this entire website ourselves with AI.

Prompting

Learning to ask AI the right questions — clear, specific, and with the right context — is a superpower we'll use forever.

Vibe coding

We built this whole site by describing what we wanted and shipping it with AI. Real product, real users, real lessons.

AI marketing

From writing posts to creating images and ideas, AI helps us reach more Helderberg families faster.

And when AI can't help, we ask the humans who can.

Mom & Dad's wisdom

Mom and Dad both run their own businesses. They're our sounding board for the bigger decisions — and the ones we'd rather not get wrong.

A bigger trailer, soon

Right now we share Dad's bakkie. We're saving towards a bigger trailer of our own so we can help more families across the Helderberg.

Back three young entrepreneurs — and clear your home in the process.

Every collection helps fund a charity, a sports tour, and the kind of grit you can't buy. Thank you for giving us the chance to earn it.
