What counts as garden waste?+
Lawn clippings, hedge trimmings, prunings, leaves, small branches, palm fronds, weeds and post-storm debris. Basically anything organic that came out of your garden.
How much does garden waste collection cost?+
Garden Waste is priced per load — a couple of bags after a Sunday tidy-up is very different from a whole-garden prune. Send a 15-second video through the booking form and we'll WhatsApp you a fair quote, usually within a few hours.
Why a video and not a phone call?+
A 15-second walk-around tells us the volume, the access and whether we need extra trailer space — much faster than describing it in words, and no need for a paid site visit. Photos work in a pinch too.
When do you run Garden Waste pickups?+
We run Garden Waste routes across the Helderberg every week. When you accept a quote we'll come back on WhatsApp with the next available day and time that suits you.
Where does it go?+
Everything that can be composted goes to a licensed green-waste site or partner farm. Nothing organic ever needs to hit landfill.
Do you take builder's rubble or general refuse?+
No — this trailer is for organic garden waste only. Rubble goes to a licensed rubble remover; general junk goes on our Junk Removal service.
Do I need to bag or pile the waste?+
Either works. If it's bagged we'll take the bags (paper or reusable is best, but standard black bags are fine). If it's just piled by the driveway, we'll pitchfork it into the trailer — no prep needed.
Can you come after a south-easter or storm?+
Yes. If a Cape south-easter has dropped branches and palm fronds all over your garden, ping us on WhatsApp — we often add extra routes in the week after a big blow.
Do you handle full tree fellings?+
Small branches and light chainsaw work, yes. Full tree fellings and big stumps need a certified arborist — we can point you at one we trust in the Helderberg and clear the debris afterwards.
How often can I book?+
As often as you like. Some gardens go on a regular rhythm during summer, others just call after a big prune. There's no subscription — book each pickup as you need it.
