How is junk different from municipal refuse?+
Municipal refuse is your black bin — that's the city's job. Junk is the bulky stuff that won't fit in a bin: broken furniture, appliances, garage clear-outs, renovation left-overs. We handle the latter.
How much does junk removal cost?+
Junk is priced per load, because a broken office chair and a whole-garage clear-out aren't the same job. Send a 15-second video through the booking form and we'll come back with a fair quote on WhatsApp — usually within a few hours.
Why do you need a video for a quote?+
It's the fastest, fairest way. From a short walk-around we can see the volume, the access, and whether we need the heavy trailer — no need to send someone out for a site visit that adds to your cost. Photos work too, but a video is best.
When do you run Junk pickups?+
We run Junk routes across the Helderberg every week. Because volumes vary, we book each job into the next available slot rather than one fixed weekday — we'll confirm the day and window on WhatsApp when you accept the quote.
Do you take appliances and e-waste?+
Yes — small appliances, phones, laptops and tablets are welcome and get wiped and recycled responsibly. Very large white goods (full-size fridges, washing machines) need a specialist — mention them and we'll point you in the right direction.
Do you do builder's rubble?+
No — rubble, tiles, cement and sand need a licensed rubble remover. We can't take those on our trailer.
How quickly can you come out?+
Most weeks we can slot you in within a few days of accepting the quote. Bigger jobs (whole garage or a renovation clear) may need to be split across two visits — we'll tell you up front.
Can you clear a garage or storeroom I haven't touched in years?+
Yes, that's exactly the job we love. Two of us do the sorting and lifting, you point at what stays. Anything sentimental gets set aside for your review before it leaves the property.
Do you take garden waste at the same time?+
Only small amounts as a piggy-back. Big loads of cuttings and prunings belong on our Garden Waste service — that trailer is set up to tip cleanly at a compost site.
